This one day course will offer advice and practical information on chainsaw maintenance and correct cutting techniques. It will be an informal delivery, offering lots of useful tips for those considering buying or using a chainsaw including tips on how to prolong the life of your chainsaw through proper maintenance.
This course does not imply or guarantee competence. If this is required the NPTC course should be undertaken.
As the NPTC assessment courses can be both physically and technically demanding, this course will be an ideal “taster” session and provide the opportunity to “have a go” for those considering a career in Forestry or Arboriculture or occasional use.
Candidates will be required to bring their own saw and protective clothing listed below:-
Chainsaw Trousers
Chainsaw Boots
Arbor Gloves
Protection Jacket
Hard hat with eye & ear protection
